Data Analyst| 10 Months (Inside IR35)| Hybrid (Tweedbank)|

Harvey Nash's client is recruiting for a Data Analyst on a 10 month contract.

Main Responsibilities

Ensure the current project data repository) is available to the project team, and implement the necessary queries/screens for data review and analysis.
Generate Excel outputs for sharing with partner organisations.
Expand the data structure to support importing, separating, and comparing data from partner organisations (e.g., categorizing as matching/non-matching and highlighting differences).
Develop reports on financial liabilities/variances, member and contract statistics, and data validation results.
Provide guidance on the limitations and risks of the current project data repository (Access DB) and oversee the transition to a more suitable data tool if needed.
Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and Business Analyst to define and meet data requirements and specifications.
Maintain positive and professional communication with the project team, as well as internal and external subject matter experts and stakeholders.

Key Skills

Expertise in Access DB
Experience in database management (maintenance, manipulation, access and querying) using SQL.
Expertise in data modelling, reporting, analysis, presentation and visualisation.
Engage positively and professionally with the project team, internal and external subject matter experts and stakeholder groups.
Experience conceiving, designing and building dashboards using tools such as Excel and enterprise BI solutions such as Caseware Idea, Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
Experience of working with stakeholders to define and implement reporting requirements.
Must be able to work independently on MS Access
Ability to organise, prioritise and schedule work within an agreed set of priorities or work programme.
Ability to lead on data initiatives, develop a plan and influence and negotiate with colleagues and stakeholders to implement the plan
Must be able to support moving to Apex Oracle after Excel.
