Full Job Description
Glasgow will host the 23rd edition of Commonwealth Games between 23 July and 2 August 2026. Approximately 3,000 athletes and team officials from up to 74 nations and territories across the Commonwealth will come together in an 11-day celebration of sport and culture. Events will take place across Glasgow, entertaining around 500,000 ticketed spectators and reaching a global broadcast audience of more than one billion.
Glasgow 2026 Limited, the Organising Company (the OC), is organising the Games along with the Commonwealth Games Federation (CGF) and Commonwealth Games Scotland (CGS). Each has key parts to play in the planning and delivery of the Commonwealth Games - individually and collectively - to ensure that Glasgow 2026 is a huge success.
We have an exciting opportunity available to join the team!
We are looking for an experienced Senior Procurement Manager to support the delivery of the procurement programme. This is a hands-on role and encompasses the full spectrum of tender and contract management activities. It requires a person with a strong background in procurement, excellent commercial acumen, experience in contract management and a background in both public and private sector procurement is desirable.
The postholder will manage a portfolio of procurements in the games procurement environment to meet time, budget, quality and resource parameters. Good professional practices and legal requirements should be evidenced throughout. You will advise on procurement strategy options and be required to provide specialist advice on complex procurements.
The Senior Procurement Manager should be able to identify creative solutions to unusual challenges and have a proactive approach to identifying and mitigating procurement related risks.

Education:
The Senior Procurement Manager should have 5 plus years’ experience, in this area at managerial level or hold a tertiary qualification in procurement or a related discipline.
Key Skills and Experience:
We are looking for a Senior Procurement Manager who is an excellent communicator, thrives working in a fast-paced environment and is a strong team player. In addition, the successful candidate should also be able to display experience in supplier negotiations and have experience in games/events.
Relationship building is key for this role and experience of influencing senior internal and external stakeholders essential.
