Full Job Description
Connect Appointments have a new opportunity for a individual to become a Paint Prepper with our Kilmarnock based client.
What's on offer?
- Full-time permanent role
- Monday to Friday, 7:30am to 4:30pm - early finish on a Friday
- Night shift working may be required
- 13.22 to 17.83 per hour

As a Paint Prepper, you will be responsible for preparing surfaces for painting by cleaning and applying masking materials. With your duties including:
- Clean and prepare surfaces for painting by removing dirt, grease, and old paint
- Sand surfaces to smooth out imperfections
- Apply masking tape and protective covers to areas not being painted
- Demasking all vehicles once the paint work has been completed
- Detailed filler work with capability to follow correct procedures
- Assist with paint application when necessary
To be successful in this Paint Prepper role, you will have a minimum of 1-year experience in a similar role. Combined with the following skills, traits and experience:
- Good eye for detail
- Good level of written and verbal English
- Proficient in using hand tools for sanding and cleaning
- The ability to lift heavy objects - when required
- Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance
- Familiarity with power tools for surface preparation
