Maintenance Officer

Annual Salary: 33,334 (18.32 per hour)

Job Type: Temporary ( 3 Months )

We are currently seeking a Maintenance Officer to join our client's team in Edinburgh. This role is ideal for individuals with a background in housing maintenance & property management, particularly those experienced in housing assets factoring. The successful candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality factoring services to our customers.

Day-to-day of the role:

Respond to day-to-day enquiries from factored customers, primarily via email and occasionally by phone.
Request quotes, raise and complete jobs related to property repairs and maintenance.
Conduct inspections of repairs both before and after completion.
Perform estate inspections and coordinate follow-up actions.
Organise and lead meetings with property owners, managing subsequent actions.
Collaborate with colleagues on larger projects approved by proprietors.
Liaise with various departments such as Compliance, Projects, and Estates/Housing to ensure cohesive service delivery.
Assist the Senior Factoring Officer as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

Experience in housing, property management, or maintenance is essential.
Knowledge of factoring services is highly desirable.
Strong organisational and communication skills to manage multiple tasks and interact effectively with customers and team members.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet organisational goals.
Proficiency in managing contractual, regulatory, and legislative requirements.
