Full Job Description
At Hallhouse Care Home, we are proud to offer residential, nursing, and respite care for up to 47 residents in the peaceful village of Fenwick. With a Grade 5 Care Inspectorate rating, we maintain the highest standards of care, and we are looking for a Senior Care Assistant who can lead by example and ensure that our residents receive the best possible care., As a Senior Care Assistant, you'll be responsible for coordinating shifts, leading by example, and managing the medication process to ensure safe and accurate administration. Your role will be vital in creating a caring, efficient, and positive atmosphere in the home.
- Medication Management - Oversee the ordering, administration, and documentation of medication, ensuring accuracy and compliance with safety protocols.
- Lead and Coordinate - Ensure the team contributes to the smooth running of the home, creating a positive and supportive atmosphere for staff and residents.
- Resident Support - Assist residents with personal care, prioritizing their dignity and independence in everything you do.
- Effective Communication - Maintain clear and compassionate communication with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and the team.
- Team Collaboration - Foster teamwork and respect, promoting a supportive environment for all staff members.
- Visitor Interaction - Welcome visitors and provide tours for prospective residents and their families.
- Emergency Response - Respond quickly to emergencies, assess situations, and provide or request assistance as needed.
- Documentation - Ensure that care plans, risk assessments, and case notes are updated accurately, reflecting residents' needs and preferences.
- Professional Development - Engage in staff training and e-learning, taking responsibility for your own personal development.
- Health and Safety - Comply with Health and Safety policies, including COSHH, and escalate concerns to management.
Are you an experienced care professional with strong medication management experience? Hallhouse Care Home in Fenwick, East Ayrshire is looking for a Senior Care Assistant to join our exceptional team., SVQ/NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care . We also welcome applications from experienced Care Assistants actively working towards their Level 3. - Medication Management Experience - Practical Medication Administration competencies and a strong understanding of medication processes are required.
