Full Job Description

The School of Informatics are seeking to recruit a Business Development and Programme manager for one of our major business partners - who will be play a key role in developing, promoting and delivering key programmes. The post holder will act as a passionate and energetic spokesperson who can engage and excite the partner about the University's innovation - maximising opportunities - setting clear expectations on both sides working to the highest standards of integrity.

This role will involve taking a lead, in consultation with School senior management, to manage the School's relationship with the partner's senior executives.

The Business Development and Programme Manager will provide project management services for projects, including the effective management of input from colleagues and suppliers, ensuring that projects are delivered successfully with respect to budgets, specified outputs and timescales.

This post is responsible for prioritising, allocating and reporting on funds within overarching funding agreements, including defining and applying criteria for awards, co-ordinating implementation and management of awards.

The post-holder will perform against assigned quarterly targets while prioritising and delivering an outstanding experience to the business partner.

This post is full-time (35 hours per week); and fixed term for two years. We are open to considering requests for hybrid working (on a non-contractual basis) that combines a mix of remote and regular on-campus working.

Educated to degree standard in an appropriate discipline and/or equivalent experience.
Significant relevant experience in higher education in an administrative or project management role. Account and client relationship management experience, including working with partners to jointly deliver customer services
Strong interpersonal skills; good communicator with excellent verbal and written communication
Good project management skills and experience in successfully overseeing multiple projects where responsibility for delivery lies out with own control.
Experience of dealing with budgets and creation or interpretation of financial reports including monitoring, reporting and forecasting on multiple streams of income and projects.
Able to develop, maintain and grow influential relationships with key stakeholders.

The salary for this post is £49,250 to £60,321 per annum.
