Full Job Description
The position holder will play a strategic role in supporting short-term power management teams by establishing an organization capable of managing significant portfolio growth. This mission will unfold in two phases. Phase 1: Define and implement the roadmap for dispatching activities in the UK. Phase 2: Manage the dispatching of TotalEnergies Gas & Power Trading (TGP) assets in the UK (CCGT, batteries, etc.) and optimize strategies through operations on ancillary services and imbalance markets. - Design and lead the implementation of the dispatch center project and associated projects.
- Oversee the integration of assets into the short-term trading portfolio (CCGT, batteries, renewables, supply).
- Act as the central contact point for internal and external stakeholders. Dispatch Operations
- Recruit a 24/7 team to manage asset dispatching on flexibility mechanisms.
- Ensure the balancing of production and supply portfolios.
- Be responsible for operational performance and the implementation of optimization strategies.
- Act as a short-term markets expert in the UK and identify market opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with risk management procedures and regulations.

- Work closely with asset owners, IT, middle/back-office, performance, and risk teams.
- Monitor regulatory developments and contribute to public consultations.
- Propose optimization strategies and innovative projects in collaboration with other teams.
You have a thorough understanding of the electricity markets and reserves mecanisms, and risk management. You possess management skills, ideally with experience in managing a 24/7 organization. You are an expert in project management within the energy sector, with strong leadership and team management skills. You have an in-depth knowledge of short-term power markets and their mechanisms, and you can handle pressure effectively. Your communication and stakeholder management skills are excellent, and you are proficient with data management tools. With a Msc in economics, finance, engineering, business administration, or equivalent, you have over 7 years of experience in energy market trading, particularly in the UK. You are fluent in English, and proficiency in French is a plus
