Full Job Description
As the Fundraising Events Coordinator you'll be part of the team delivering the Schools Triathlons. You'll work with a wide range of stakeholders including our Schools Triathlon Committee, event venues and local schools, participants, volunteers and our events delivery partner. You will be leading two of the Schools Triathlons at Bryanston School and Bradfield School and will be responsible for delivering school assemblies to encourage pupils to participate in the event and fundraise for Restless Development. Our Event Volunteers are key to the delivery of the Schools Triathlons so this role will be crucial in helping us to recruit sufficient volunteers for each event. You'll use various recruitment methods to generate registrations and be able to use emails and phone to implement the stewardship journey. Alongside this we run a Duke of Edinburgh volunteer program which you will need to develop and lead on with selected Host Schools. You'll also be joining us at an exciting time as we launch a brand new portfolio of challenge events. With the support of the Senior Fundraising Manager, you'll be managing the project plan including the marketing and stewardship so that we ensure participants reach their fundraising target and receive a first-class event experience with us. The role will be a varied workload so you'll have plenty of opportunities to gain skills in different areas. You'll need to be able to hit the ground running, be calm under pressure and manage your time effectively with great interpersonal skills too. If you are passionate about events and understand the importance of event volunteers then we would love to hear from you., Reports to - Senior Fundraising Manager Expected travel- Travel to London for staff meetings and other areas in the UK. Evening and weekend work for which time off in lieu will be given. Expenses for travel and work outside working hours will be given according to our policy. Other Requirements - Must have a full drivers licence and access to reliable and roadworthy vehicle. Will be expected to complete a DBS check. Key Priorities Schools Triathlon Events
- Support in the event management of Schools Triathlon events
- Work with the wider Schools Triathlon team to ensure smooth logistics and communications in the lead up to events and on the day.
- Attend meetings with third party suppliers and schools when necessary to organise the event logistics.
- Develop strong professional relationships with various important stakeholders
- Deliver school assemblies and fundraising workshops when required. Volunteer Management
- Assist in recruiting volunteers for the Schools Triathlon events.
- Build positive relationships with volunteers by helping to deliver a first-class stewardship journey.
- Work with the Senior Fundraising Manager to support the Schools Triathlon Host Schools to recruit student volunteers.
- Lead and develop the Duke of Edinburgh volunteer programme working with selected host schools.
- Identify new ways for us to recruit and build our volunteer network.
- Manage the Volunteer email inbox, ensuring all enquiries are answered Challenge Events
- Lead on the project plan for our challenge events portfolio with support from the Senior Fundraising Manager.
- Set, monitor and report on the progress of event KPI's and track fundraising for each event.
- Work with the wider team to plan and deliver marketing to ensure participants are being recruited.
- Plan and deliver an excellent stewardship journey for participants enabling them to reach their fundraising targets.
- Manage the relationship with our Challenge event partners including Run for Charity and Charity Challenge.
- Identify participant trends, improvement opportunities and help to ensure these events suit our audience and needs. Systems, Processes & Communications
- Support the wider team with event comms responding in a timely and professional manner.
- Use DotDigtial to communicate to volunteers and event participants
- Competent use of Excel to process data and regularly update internal and external databases.
- Accurate and timely logging of information into Restless Development's registration system Eventrac and CRM, Salesforce - executing mass imports, new individual records, and regularly cleaning data.
- Understand and manage fundraising using the digital fundraising platform, JustGiving, ensure all pages set up are logged on our CRM. Other
- Must attend the Schools Triathlons as needed across April, May and June and other occasional evening and weekend work, for which time off in lieu will be given.
- Support on wider charity initiatives as and when needed
- Many of the schools we have relationships with are not accessible by public transport, so it is vital you have access to a reliable roadworthy vehicle. All travel will be reimbursed in accordance with Restless Development's travel policy.

- Experience of planning and delivering events ideally within the charity sector but this is not essential.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to adapt style to suit different audiences.
- Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders and building positive working relationships.
- Strong organisational skills with an ability to manage your own time and a varied workload so that deadlines are met.
- Enthusiastic and personable to engage and motivate others.
- Creative and innovative and can take ideas from concept through to completion.
- Excellent IT skills - particularly Excel
- Strong numeracy skills and ability to process financial data
- Full drivers licence and access to a vehicle Desirable
- Understanding of volunteering and methods of volunteer recruitment.
- Fundraising experience
- Experience of using CRM databases, Just Giving and DotDigital
- Ability to confidently lead volunteer workshops with young people.
