Full Job Description
An opportunity has arisen for a Lead Project Manager to join our team in Edinburgh or Witham. As Lead Project Manager you will engage with and grow effective relationships with Senior Executives, project sponsors, business owners and delivery partners whilst managing the delivery of assigned projects and initiatives. You will play a vital role in delivering initiatives designed to transform and enhance our business with key focus on achieving exceptional customer outcomes through the delivery of an exciting and varied Change Portfolio. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Management and delivery of assigned projects and initiatives, taking responsibility for the delivery of multiple projects or a small project portfolio, utilising agile methodologies.
- Leadership of project planning, scheduling, controlling and reporting activities ensuring that comprehensive project, quality, and risk plans are prepared and maintained and issues are actively managed through to their successful resolution
- Regular and ad hoc reporting to governance groups, executives and key stakeholders, to support effective decision-making and manage the smooth and integrated delivery of projects
- Building and maintaining effective relationships with a variety of internal and external stakeholders at a senior level.
Experience in successfully managing and delivering large, complex, multi-functional, cross-business programmes and projects using Waterfall, Agile or Hybrid approaches exhibiting strong project / programme and budget management. - An understanding of the principles, methods, techniques and tools for the preparation and monitoring of budgets to minimise costs and ensure cost effectiveness.
- Mentoring and leadership experience, including the ability to influence decision making at a senior level.
- A proven track record of leading and delivering technology change initiatives
- Can exhibit excellent attention to detail, accuracy and have the drive to push projects forward while demonstrating accountability for individual workload.
- Risk Management experience - programme, project and operational.
