Full Job Description

The Project Manager will drive the growth of Red Rock Renewables by overseeing the development of onshore and offshore renewable energy projects. This role covers both technical and project management aspects, from feasibility studies through to design, permitting, construction, and commissioning. The Project Manager will provide support in coordinating cross-functional teams, managing timelines, budgets, and risks, and ensuring successful project delivery. Additionally, they will contribute to evaluating investment opportunities and emerging technologies to shape the company's renewable energy portfolio., Managing Development Workstreams

  • Planning and managing the execution of various development workstreams, developing overall project schedules and tracking progress.
  • Conduct feasibility studies and technical due diligence for new projects, ensuring alignment with regulatory, environmental, and financial considerations.
  • Provide detailed technical reports to inform investment decisions, identifying potential project risks and proposing solutions.
  • Engaging with consultants and contractors during development, pre-construction and construction phases
  • Providing Technical Support
  • Offer technical support and sound engineering judgment across various project packages and business functions, ensuring alignment with the goals.
  • Assist the Senior Project Manager in creating, reviewing, and optimizing technical processes and procedures that drive the company's objectives and ensure high standards of engineering practice.
  • Prepare and review regular reports on project progress, technical performance, and key metrics to ensure transparency and alignment with company goals.
  • Reviewing technical and factual reports, drafting and review of technical specifications, internal and external project reports and other design documents, considering safety by design and sustainable design strategies (including life cycle analysis), construction methodologies, CAPEX, OPEX, sizing etc
  • Stakeholder Engagement and Coordination
  • Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., commercial, legal, operations) and external stakeholders (contractors, suppliers, regulators) to ensure alignment on project goals, timelines, and specifications.
  • Represent the company in client or partner meetings to communicate technical concepts, project progress and project issues.
  • Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) Management
  • Collaborate with the Technical Team to mitigate risks and ensure the roles of Principal Contractor (PC) and Principal Designer (PD) are carried out at various stages of the project lifecycle.
  • Ensure that all project activities comply with HSE standards, identifying and mitigating risks to personnel and the environment during the project lifecycle.
  • Promote a safety-first culture by conducting safety reviews and encouraging adherence to strict safety protocols.

  • At least 5 years experience working in development / construction of renewables projects
  • Familiar with various aspects of the development and planning process (e.g. due diligence, permitting, environmental assessment, grid connection application, feasibility studies, tendering)
  • Experience in managing quality of consultants or contractors

  • Member of recognised professional institution
  • Good understanding of various aspects of renewables construction (contracting structures, key interfaces, technical awareness, quality, HSE)
  • Experience of preparing technical and functional specifications.
  • A strong understanding of risk management systems
  • Experience in the creation and delivery of contract related documentation including works scopes, functional specifications and technical schedules
  • Qualifications Essential
  • A relevant degree in Engineering or Project Management
