About the Moderation Committee The SNSIAP Peer Review Scheme Moderation Committee supports SLAB to develop and implement the delivery of the SNSIAP model by providing an objective oversight of the peer review process for Type II/III advice agencies. The Committee:
- monitors the reports produced by peer reviewers and reaches agreement that these reports meet the criteria for the peer review scheme regarding the accuracy of the advice provided to the public
- checks that peer reviewers are taking a consistent and common approach to their peer review work, reporting and identifying training or other needs to ensure that goals are achieved
- identifies and agrees the ways in which the peer review process could be improved or modified and shares these suggestions with SLAB. The Committee meets every quarter with papers issued electronically in advance, for discussion at the meetings. Further details on the Moderation Committee are available here. We are looking for people who have a background in quality assurance or audit with a good eye for detail and a general interest in developing or applying their wider experience in advice.
