Murray Recruitment have a permanent opportunity for a Sales & Marketing Manager for our client based in Lanarkshire.


A leading construction company in Lanarkshire is seeking a proactive and skilled Sales and Marketing Manager to drive its marketing and sales strategy. This pivotal role involves leading key initiatives, managing resources, and delivering impactful campaigns to promote the company’s services and achieve business growth.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the company’s marketing and sales functions, ensuring alignment with the Marketing Strategy and Business Plan.
  • Coordinate resources, including personnel and systems such as the CRM system, to effectively plan and deliver marketing and sales activities.
  • Develop goals, objectives, projects, and priorities, delegating them to relevant sales personnel.
  • Serve as the Line Manager for the sales and marketing team, providing guidance and oversight.
  • Assign accounts, territories, target groups, and sales quotas to optimise team performance.
  • Develop and execute sales campaigns and marketing/promotional plans to generate leads and drive sales growth.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless coordination of sales activities.
  • Prepare and present plans, budgets, progress reports, and KPIs for Sales and Marketing initiatives.
  • Lead or oversee high-value bids, including those for significant work programmes.
  • Conduct competitor research to identify trends and opportunities for differentiation.
  • Oversee customer feedback processes, ensuring timely follow-up and resolution as required.

Experience and Skills

  • Proven experience in sales and marketing leadership roles, ideally within the construction or related industry.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with the ability to coordinate teams and resources effectively.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems and other sales/marketing tools.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a talent for building relationships.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-driven approach and a track record of achieving targets.
  • Knowledge of market research and competitor analysis techniques.
  • Analytical mindset to assess KPIs and create actionable strategies.
  • Ability to lead and inspire teams to deliver high performance.
