Full Job Description

The Mid Ross Social Work Team is based in Dingwall Health Centre and currently has a vacancy equating to one full time social worker post.

The post is interesting and varied in nature providing a social work service across Mid Ross.

The Team is busy but supportive and is looking for qualified individuals who can work autonomously but also effectively as part of a social work team and wider integrated team to deliver safe and effective social work practice.

Case work will be generic in nature, interesting and varied.  Duties include the execution of essential statutory functions; working with individuals, families, carers and wider communities to complete person centred outcome focused assessments; dealing with and managing complex situations and risk, and working effectively in a multi-disciplinary way.

We are looking for enthusiastic practitioners, who have experience of working with people with a wide range of needs and who are person centred and outcome focused in their approach. A relevant Social Work qualification is essential for this post.

NHS Scotland is reducing their full time working week from 37.5 to 37 hours per week from 1 April 2024 but with no change in pay.  This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.  This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.  However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact the Recruiting Board.
