HR Co-ordinator
Grade 5, £26,038 - £29,659 (£26,338 - £29,959 from March 2025).
Part-time considered; hybrid working available
Abertay University is a modern and ambitious university recognised for its achievements in teaching, learning and research that directly support the industries of today and the future and for its friendly, inclusive environment.
Reporting to the People Operations Manager, you will provide first line HR support for the daily HR operations, including recruitment process, advising staff on HR policy and procedure to undertaking specific HR projects.
You will be responsible for developing, coordinating tasks related to business improvement, recruitment, policies, and HR projects and initiatives. You will also provide HR administration and system duties and prepare the necessary paperwork. Your role will involve contributing to HR project schedules and weekly status reports.
You will possess strong organisational skills as well as the ability to meet deadlines. You will have strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to demonstrate tact and diplomacy whilst dealing with confidential information. The role holder will be able to work both independently and in a team, use own initiative, and have a proactive can-do attitude, with demonstrable knowledge of HR best practice and basic employment law. Experience of using HR database systems would be advantageous.
