Job Opportunity: Quantity Surveyor
Location: Inveraray, Scotland
Project: Substation Construction
About the Role
Are you a skilled Quantity Surveyor seeking a new challenge in a pivotal renewable energy project? We are offering an exciting opportunity to join a well-established team working on a major substation build in Crossaig. This role offers the chance to contribute to an essential infrastructure project at the forefront of the renewable energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the commercial aspects of the substation project, ensuring budgetary control and cost management.
- Collaborate with project teams to provide accurate financial reporting, cost forecasting, and procurement planning.
- Conduct cost analysis to identify efficiencies and implement cost-saving measures.
- Administer contracts and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers.
- Provide expert advice on contractual issues, including risk mitigation and dispute resolution.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, regulations, and best practices throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential:
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor, preferably in the construction or power industries.
- In-depth understanding of construction contracts and procurement procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with excellent negotiation skills.
Desirable:
- Membership with RICS or CIOB is beneficial but not required.
