Full Job Description
As a 1st Line Engineer you will be the initial point of contact for technical support within our organisation. You will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of our cloud-based IT infrastructure, providing excellent customer service, and resolving technical issues efficiently. Your work will involve supporting a range of Microsoft and Azure services, ensuring our colleagues can work effectively without technical disruptions. This role can be based in either or Glasgow or Edinburgh office with a hybrid workstyle. Role and Responsibilities
- Incident Management and Troubleshooting: + Diagnose and Resolve Issues + Ticketing System Management
- User Support and Communication: + Customer Service + Effective Communication
- System Monitoring and Maintenance: + Cloud Service Monitoring + Routine Maintenance
- User Account and Access Management: + Account Administration + Security Compliance
- Documentation and Reporting: + Knowledge Base Maintenance + Performance Reporting
- Previous IT Support experience, ideally at a Managed Service Provider
- Can solve most Windows-based Workstation issues independently
- Good, core fundamental knowledge in general IT
- Configure and support Microsoft 365
- Install & configure PCs and Laptops
- Have good experience of supporting Microsoft client-server networks
- Install & configure Routers & switches
- Experience of configuring and troubleshooting Email issu
- Intune and Endpoint manager experience
- Passion for IT and technology
- Experience in a customer service-focused role preferred
- An industry qualification would be advantageous
