This Senior Buyer role offers an exciting opportunity to shape purchasing strategy, manage supplier networks, and support cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Supplier Management: Build and maintain key supplier partnerships; conduct performance reviews and improvement initiatives.
- Contract Negotiation: Secure competitive terms, ensure compliance, and manage contract lifecycles.
- Purchasing Operations: Oversee orders, resolve delivery issues, and ensure accurate procurement records.
- Cost Optimisation: Identify and implement cost-saving measures based on market analysis.
- Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to meet inventory needs and support new projects.
- Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to policies and regulatory standards; manage supply chain risks.
- Team Leadership: Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative work environment.
Qualifications
- Essential: 5+ years in procurement, ideally in industrial/manufacturing. Strong analytical, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Desirable: Degree in Business or Supply Chain Management; professional certifications preferred.
Immediate availability is advantageous.
Role is based in Fife.
