Full Job Description

  • Leading the technical architecture and development of web applications with the Technical Architects and Solution Engineers using Next.js, TypeScript, Headless/MACH architecture.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams including product owner, marketing, and other developers to define requirements and deliver features.
  • Providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
  • Performing code reviews to maintain code quality, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with architectural guidelines.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues as they arise, ensuring timely resolution and minimal impact on project timelines.
  • Staying updated on industry trends and emerging technologies, recommending adoption of new tools and techniques to improve efficiency and effectiveness.

    We are searching for a highly skilled and experienced Development Manager proficient in Next.js, TypeScript to join our Global Technology Services at William Grant & Sons. As a Development Manager, you will play a pivotal role in driving the development and implementation of our web applications, ensuring high-quality code, and guiding the technical direction of the project, while also managing a small team of Developers., Proven experience as a Development Manager or Senior Developer in web application development projects.
  • Strong proficiency in Next.js, TypeScript, with a deep understanding of their respective ecosystems and best practices.
  • Experience with modern web development technologies such as React, GraphQL, and Headless/MACH architecture.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with agile development methodologies (e.g., Scrum, Kanban) is preferred.
