NRL’s manufacturing client based in Dunfermline is looking to recruit a QHSE Engineer to join them on a permanent staff basis.
This is 37.5 hours, with the client working a 4 day week!

About the role:

The Quality team are looking for a QHSE Engineer to ensure that the organisation delivers the maintenance of the company’s QHSE Management System, associated documentation and quality of a wide range of product types to meet our customer expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Verification / Validation that all product specifications have been met during the product realisation process.
• Data Analysis and Reporting.
• Assist in the implementation of various improvement activities.
• ISO9001 / ISO13485 / ISO45001 / ISO14001 – Carry out internal process and system audits with action follow-up and progression to closure.
• Identification, Investigation and disposition of non-conforming material through the Non-Conforming Material Report (NCMR) process.
• Ability to carry out Root Cause Analysis, identify corrective and preventative measures and monitor effectiveness.
• Monitor Supplier performance in relation to non-conforming product with regular internal / external communications, reviews and follow-up.
• Participate in supplier QBRs (or similar) with the production of supporting Quality data to aid the monitoring & measurement of supply chain.
• Processing customer concerns through the Non-Conformance Reporting (NCR / 8D) process to completion.
• Liaising with various stake holders regarding the processing, evaluation and reporting on customer returns.
• Support and advise on product queries.
• Perform Process Failure Mode Effects Analysis (PFMEA) as required.
• Support onsite QHSE and IPC610 training activities.
• To assist in the production of System Management documentation and reviews.
• Reporting of QHSE Metrics / KPI’s.
• Support NPI, product development and ‘first off’ process approval.
• Calibration management / control, inc. liaising with our external provider.
• Action plan generation and progressing to closure within a timely manner.

• HNC or equivalent preferably in an Engineering/Quality related discipline.
• A ‘hands-on’, ‘can-do’ attitude
• Excellent knowledge and awareness of Quality Management Systems (ISO9001, ISO13485, ISO14001, ISO45001)
• Ability to conduct audits on Business systems and processes to meet ISO standards
• Ability to prepare, analyse and report quality statistics to all levels both internal and external.
• A NEBOSH qualification would be advantageous
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
• An understanding of quality improvement programmes and IPC electronic assembly knowledge would be advantageous
• An understanding of electronics or proven electronics experience would be beneficial
• Good computer literacy and knowledge of Microsoft Office suite
• Good MRP knowledge e.g. Javelin, SAP, BaaN
• Ability to work on own initiative with minimal supervision.
