Job Summary:

Enevate Homes Limited is seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Buyer/Estimator to join our team. This dual role involves managing procurement activities and performing cost estimation for construction and manufacturing projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both purchasing and estimating, with the ability to balance cost efficiency and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Buyer Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies to source materials and services.
• Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers to secure the best prices and terms.
• Monitor and manage supplier performance to ensure timely delivery and quality standards.
• Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and other important data.
• Collaborate with production managers and Design to forecast material needs and budget requirements.

Estimator Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for materials, labour, equipment, and other project-related expenses.
• Analyse project specifications and drawings to determine scope and requirements.
• Create and submit competitive bids for project tenders.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to support project planning and decision-making.
• Monitor project costs and provide regular updates to ensure budget adherence.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in procurement and cost estimation within the construction or manufacturing industry.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency in estimation software and procurement tools.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.
• Experience with project management software.
• Certification in procurement or cost estimation (e.g., CIPS, AACE).
